| What did you enjoy about playing at Selby? | Everything and everyone |
| What did playing rugby teach you? | Discipline, drinking and team ethos in no particular order |
| You need to take a road trip but must take 3 of your team mates with you. Who would they be? | Andy Usher, Toby Pemberton, Sam Longthorp |
| Who would still come with you, without question? | All of them |
| Who was the Selby dressing room joker? | Tommy Burton |
| Favourite player you’ve watched at Selby: | Smithy |
| Why Selby RUFC? | Dad played and took us down when mini rugby first ever started in Jan ‘76 |
| Best match you’ve played in? | Lots of them but Yorkshire Cup Quarter Final when we beat Morley, Intermediate game away at South Leicester and home win against Chester all stick in the mind |
| Most memorable moment: | Being named 1st Team Captain |
| Funniest think you’ve seen on a rugby pitch: | Lots of daft funny things but Tommy Burton on at half time away at a very muddy Pock called ‘my ball’ from Kick off, ball on floor Gilbert written in mud on Tommy’s shirt. ( you had to be there) |
| Who/what do you miss the most? | Not too much yet as only just stopped really but miss a lot of the old team mates who don’t come down much any more |
| Favourite quote or words of wisdom: | Boo’s Mirror of Self Doubt was a good one but Diccon at Brods with a Tommy Tippy take recorder which was running out of batteries takes some beating |
| Lockdown perception: | Don’t start drinking too early, keep exercising and keep your mind active |
