| Best Match you’ve played in? | Yorkshire Shield Semi Final away against Ripon. They run it and organise it, packed it with 2’s and played it on the worst pitch possible. We beat them with a team performance I can seldom remember being part of! We got hammered on the bus trip back and the driver wiped out the wall at the Shell garage in Wetherby in a borrowed mini bus! Hilarious. |
| Most memorable moment? | 96 or 97 lCardiff Tour with the 3rds. Mine and Rob Taylor’s first tour. Absolutely destroyed by the end of it! |
| Funniest thing you’ve seen on a rugby pitch? | Watching a lad who’d never played rugby playing second row for York at Selby. Just about to set and he shoves his head straight through the props legs head butting his knackers in the process. Even the ref was pissing himself! |
| Favourite quote or words of wisdom? | It’s York Lads!! If you can’t get up for this then you might as well F**k off home and help your lass with the dishes. |
| What were you enjoying most about last season? | Watching, drinking and only having intermittent soreness on a Sunday! |
| How are you coping with lock down? | I’m fine to be honest. I work all day from home, help with the kids when I can and get out on my bike each night for as many miles as possible. Stay active both physically and mentally. |
| What are you looking forward to? | Ferry Inn reopening and loads of bog roll being available!! I mean come on, why bog roll?? Weirdos. |
