We’re excited to announce plans for a full-club tour to Montreal in June 2028—our first major tour since 2016 and the third time Selby will head across the Atlantic after unforgettable trips in 2004 and 2016.

This is an open invitation to everyone in the Selby family: senior men and women, ex-players, social members, supporters, and our current U16, U17 and U18 players who will all be 18 by 2028.

Why Montreal?

Montreal has become a special destination for Selby RUFC, with our previous tours in 2004 and 2016 creating friendships, connections and memories that have lasted long after we returned home. With almost exactly 12 years between each visit, the 2028 trip feels like the natural next chapter in a tradition that has served the club brilliantly. We’re fortunate to still have strong links with our hosts in the Montreal Irish community, and this time the tour is being driven by a fresh team of volunteers, fully supported by experienced tour leaders who have successfully delivered our previous Canadian adventures. It’s a perfect blend of new energy and proven guidance—ideal conditions for another unforgettable Selby tour.

For the first time, this tour will proudly include our women and girls pathway. While our previous overseas tours have traditionally been men-only, Selby RUFC has grown into a thriving, genuinely inclusive rugby family—with a strong and ever-developing Women’s and Girls’ section. This tour reflects that progress. We’ll travel together, share experiences together, and celebrate the club as one, but there will also be opportunities for the men’s and women’s groups to do their own activities, fixtures and social events along the way. It’s a chance to showcase the full breadth of our club, on and off the pitch, and to make this a truly club-wide adventure.
