Selby U13 Versus Harrogate U13

Sunday was a great day to play and watch rugby, and the Selby U13s match did not disappoint.

From the first whistle it was a hard fought game with both sides being strong at the breakdown and tackles. Selby were dominant in scrums, pushing back and winning several scrums from a Harrogate put in . This allowed the quick backs to push forward with some free flowing play. At the line out all our forwards played apart and either won line out or disrupted Harrogate's.

All this pressure resulted in two tries, Caelum Jordan and Marcus Hebden scoring for Selby. The first try was converted by our new player Caelum. At half time the score was 12 - 0.

The second half was much the same, a physical game with Selby again dominant in the scrum and line out. With this Selby again had passages of free flowing rugby that resulted in a try from Sam Perrin. Late on Harrogate pushed forward but Selby resisted well, the match end 17 - 0 to Selby.

Every player from start to finish stepped up their performance this week and fully deserved the result. Well played Selby.
