Selby u11s victorious with displays of skill, energy and pluck

Selby played an away fixture this Sunday at Scunthorpe, where they fielded two teams against two teams from Scunthorpe.

The strong North Lincolnshire winds certainly blew the cobwebs from Selby as they started the first match with confidence and commitment.

Dominating most of the initial play, Selby took the lead and continued to heap the pressure on Scunthorpe. Winning the first game in style.

The second game saw Selby gather in pace and agility. The youngsters rallied together to play with some dazzling passing and running to knock up the tries. Each member of the team put in an incredible performance, communicating and engaging with one another. Despite each player putting 100%, stand out perfomances went to Zak Kierans and Reggie Joyce who piled the pressure on Scunthorpe in the rucks and Will Kavanagh who's swift footing gave Selby much needed ground. They won the second match a resounding 11-3.

Selby Team 2 also had a good morning and also won both matches with Tyler Higgins, Harry Kealey and Luke Fairfield giving impressive performances.

After last weekends disappointing defeats, Selby were back with a victorious display of skill, energy and pluck.
