This Saturday sees Selby 1st XV back in action as they welcome Moortown to Sandhill Lane for what promises to be another fiercely contested clash.

Last Week’s Recap
Selby travelled away last weekend and put in a determined performance, showing flashes of real quality in attack and plenty of resilience in defence. Despite a few missed opportunities, the team showed growing cohesion and plenty of spirit, giving the travelling support plenty to cheer. Coaches and players alike will be looking to build on that display and turn effort into points on the board this weekend.

The Last Time We Met
The last meeting between Selby and Moortown was a tight affair, with both sides evenly matched across the park. Selby worked hard to disrupt Moortown’s big runners and produced some excellent phases of rugby, but ultimately it was small margins that decided the contest. This time around, Selby will be eager to put the record straight on home turf, using the lessons learned to get on top early and make the most of the chances created.
