The Selby RUFC U15 boys put in a fantastic shift at Morrisons on Saturday 15th November as they took part in a bag-packing fundraiser to support their upcoming tour. Their hard work and enthusiasm paid off, with the team raising an impressive £540 thanks to the generosity of shoppers throughout the day.
What made the effort even more memorable were the numerous compliments the boys received from customers and store staff alike. They were praised for their smart appearance, confidence, respectfulness, and responsible attitude—qualities that reflect both their character and the values of the club.
The boys enjoyed the experience so much that they are already preparing for their next fundraiser. They will be heading to Tesco on Saturday 13th December, eager to build on their success and continue raising vital funds for their tour.
The coaches and parents would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, and to Morrisons for welcoming the team into the store. The funds raised will make a real difference to the boys’ tour experience, and the way they represented Selby RUFC made the club immensely proud.
Well done, lads—a brilliant effort on and off the pitch.
