What’s the difference?

These are two separate things and your child needs both.

Club membership is your subscription to Selby RUFC: it is paid through our club website (Pitchero), it funds coaching, pitches, kit and the running of the club, and it gives the whole family access to the clubhouse and member benefits.

GMS registration is free and is your child’s registration as a player with the RFU, England Rugby’s governing body, through its Game Management System. It records them as a registered player, covers them under RFU insurance and makes them eligible for league and cup fixtures.

Paying your membership does not register your child with the RFU, and registering with the RFU does not pay your membership — both must be in place before your child can play.
