1. Letter from Youth Chair

Selby Rugby Union Football Club Youth Section Welcome to Season 2019/20

Dear Parent/Guardian

Welcome to another season with Selby RUFC.

It is my privilege as newly appointed Youth Chair to welcome you and your family to the Club, whether returning or joining us for the first time.

Last season was another successful one with growth across all age grades.

This season begins on Sunday 1st September 2019 with registration micros at 9:30AM, minis and junior boys at 10:30AM and girls and colts at 1:00PM

Subscriptions and Membership
New and existing membership and subscription will continue to be through the club website Details of how to register will be emailed to parents through the team managers and will be done through the RFU game management system (or GMS). Registration and subscriptions are mandatory.

As soon as your subscription has commenced a new membership discount card will be available from the club bar. Existing members should have received or collected a card last season and should continue to use this. Existing members should make their subscription payment before 1st October.

Any questions with regards to the membership process can be sent to club registrar through your team manager.

Your Club
In recent years the club has seen facilities redevelopment and a growth in membership. The Club Board would very much like to promote the ethos of one club. We consider that, whilst one membership may relate to only one player, a membership relates to the whole family of that player and we would like the facilities to be the foundation of the greater rugby family in Selby.

If you have any queries please take a look at the website, where you will find a great deal of information, the RFU website is also a good place to look for governance information and if the information cannot be found there please speak to your team manager.

Being involved in rugby union is a great way to develop whether playing, volunteering or simply supporting, your child/children can develop emotionally, physically and socially. We ask only that you support your manager and head coach when necessary and be part of this great club.
