Match Day Manager Roles and Responsibilities

Generally

Match day manager dress code is club tie and jacket for 1st XV home games, casual club colours is acceptable for all non 1st XV games.

Prior to Match Day
Andrew Elcock will be in contact with the designated match day manager in the week leading up to match day to make sure all is well . Andrew can be contacted on 07773 386850 with any questions

Match Day

  • Arrive at the Ground 13.30hrs BST for a 3pm Kick Off
  • Arrive at the Ground 12.30hrs BST when a 2pm Kick Off
  • Greet the Referees with a Typical Proud Selby welcome!
  • Offer the Referees either a cup of coffee or tea from behind the bar
  • Find out what each referee requires in the form of expenses and speak to the Clubhouse manager who will sort the money out and this will be given to the referee at the end of the match in the Clubhouse
  • Take the Referee to the changing Rooms
  • Collect Meal tickets from behind the bar and give these to all relevant teams and also make sure the referees get there meal tickets also from behind the bar
  • When a first team game is at home the referee for that game will get changed in Referee 1 Changing Room
  • When 2 or 3 teams are at Home the other 2 referees will get changed in Referee 2 Changing Room.
  • When players and officials have left the changing room areas please ensure all doors are locked
  • Make sure you are always near to the changing room areas during the game if any players or team officials need to enter the changing rooms for any reason
  • Accompany Match officials after the game and ensure that they are offered the club hospitality of food and a drink from the bar
  • Pay referee expenses
