Game 6
Selby took off from the previous game and tries were all scored in the same vein with Benj finishing all of them off, 5 in total! A lot of credit must go to the groundwork of the tight 3, Michael and Sam D were outstanding in the scrum and lineout, winning many balls against the head. All the backs contributed to the tries, Lauren having several elusive weaving runs, Matty creating 2 tries with long range passes, Jack selling a beauty of a dummy for Benj for the 4th and Sam L created the last with a good catch, making ground and timing the pass perfectly.
FINAL SCORE Selby 5 - Pocklington 0.
Selby came back from last week’s loss to win very convincingly and every single player gave 100% into their game this week and it showed and paid off. Well done boys and girls.
A fantastic effort all around against a dogged opposition, really well done! Special mention must go to Matthew and Sam Flinders for playing for Pocklington.
