On Sunday 29th September two excited squads of Under 9 boys and girls from Selby RUFC and Doncaster RUFC braved the extreme weather to play their first competitive match of the 2019/2020 season.

Both teams showed great determination and teamwork to put on a great performance as they played three matches a piece. Impressive footwork and dodging from the Selby players saw them scoring impressive tries throughout the morning but the highlight for both players, coaches and parents watching the players put so much effort into their newly developed tackling skills. "Amazing and brilliant" were words used by the proud parents supporting on the sidelines! Good effort from all!

We are looking forward to a specialist tackling coaching session on Tuesday 1st October from the clubs very own Richard Nicholson before we head to Ripon for our second match of the season on Sunday 6th October.
