After a stunning performance against Ripon last week, another strong squad of 18 boys and four girls headed to Harrogate RUFC for the district festival on Sunday 14th October 2018. Despite the weather definitely not being on our side the teams gave it their all, whilst playing against teams from Harrogate, Ripon, York, Northallerton and Wetherby. Incessant rain made tagging difficult but the teams soldiered on with a great determination to win the ball and drive forward to score some impressive tries. Keeping warm between games proved difficult for all teams and time was eventually called bringing the festival to an early finish. However, spirits soon picked up after a change of clothes as the players tucked into some well earned refreshments in order to warm back up. Once again we were all very proud of the great effort made by all!
Next week we are back at Selby for some "Spooky Halloween planned training " as the team prepare for their next fixture against Doncaster RUFC on Saturday 28th October 2018.
