A stern defence and 3 well executed tries saw Selby 3rds claim 4th position in the league and their best points and wins return since the 2012/13 season.

Scores from Dan Pickering 2, Ben Rawson and 3 conversions from Mike Goldsworthy saw Selby home against a very spirited Morley 3rds who agreed to travel to Selby for the game after their pitches had caused the cancellation of the 1st team and 3rd team games over night on Friday.

Selby's defence stood firm for at least 30 of the second half minutes as they spurned every attempt but one Morley made at the line for a crucial 21-5 victory. Ryan Johnson having a very strong game at 8 after a few weeks away from the starting 15. James Abrams and Kevin Lamb also putting in some solid hits in D.

Selby now travel to Ossett 2's for their last away league game of the season but with the crucial England game on at 4pm the squad has been decimated with call offs already!!

Should be yet another interesting weekend ahead.
