Match Preview: Selby 2nd XV v Goole

This weekend the spotlight falls on Selby RUFC’s 2nd XV, who make the short trip to face Goole in what promises to be a hard-fought encounter in the Merit League.

The 2s have made a flying start to the season with four consecutive wins, combining experience and youthful energy to establish themselves as early contenders. They’ll be aiming to carry that momentum into this away fixture against a Goole side always renowned for their physicality and home advantage.

Adding extra excitement to the squad are three first-time call-ups from the Colts:

Their inclusion marks another step on Selby’s Green to Gold pathway, with talented young players taking their chance to test themselves in senior rugby. It’s a proud moment for the Colts section and a great example of the club’s commitment to developing homegrown talent.
