Another great win for Selby Pens under 15 girls. The day was very cold and wet, but this certainly did not dampen the spirits of Selby Pens, who went on to win their 3rd game of the pools stage in the Yorkshire Cup.
The game was won before it even started with Bridlington having to forfeit due to lack of numbers. However, the girls had all come to play rugby, so in typical rugby spirit Selby loaned Bridlington 3 girls and the game kicked off. The final score after 60 mins was 48 : 15 to Selby. A total of 8 tries were scored by Selby, with a further 8 points clocked up with 4 successful conversions.
The weather was terrible, but the sporting atmosphere as electric as ever.
This win places the girls at the top of their pool and through to semi-finals of the cup. It also gives them entry into the knockout stages of the Area 6 Cup.
