This Sunday (October 16), the Under 14 girls' team (joined by two players from Old Broods) once again walked away with a win against Scunthorpe.
With an excellent start to the match, the first try was scored by Evelyn with a great conversion by Megan. Throughout the game tackling was good and there were amazing runs by Milly, Tayla, Ciara, Izzy, Scarlett, Megan and Emily. In addition, another amazing try was scored by Izzy after a turnover by Scarlett; and further tries scored by Megan.
By the second half, all was still going well, with more tries scored and not one conversion missed (thank you Megan). We were in for the win. Yet near the end, our rucking became messy and the ball was getting turned over in the scrum; which resulted in a try from Scunthorpe. Though by the end, we had had another three tries by Grace, Milly and Emily, who had a cracking run resulting in said try.
The match came to a close with a score of 11 tries to 1.
And a quick shoutout to Freddy for supplying the kicking tee and running everywhere to set it up.
