Selby RUFC continues to invest in the quality and confidence of its coaching team through the Coaches’ Professional Development Programme, led by Will Stoker and Jack Coates as part of their Coach the Coaches remit.

The monthly sessions give our junior and youth coaches the chance to share ideas, learn from senior staff, and keep coaching methods consistent across all age groups.

This month’s workshop was a Scrum Masterclass, led by Head Coach Jay Robinson, offering hands-on learning around technique, safety, and communication. Coaches left with plenty of ideas to take back to their teams and put into practice.

A big thank you to Jay for leading such an engaging session and to the Colts players for their time and effort in helping demonstrate throughout the evening — their support made the session both enjoyable and practical.

The programme is building real momentum and supports the club’s aim of creating a clear pathway from minis through to senior rugby.
