It was a fantastic occasion and a proud moment for everyone involved in our girls’ and women’s section. Representatives from all of our girls’ teams and our senior women’s team were present, with players enjoying the opportunity to have both team and individual photographs taken alongside the Cup. It was an inspiring experience for our young players to see the sport’s biggest prize up close.

We were also delighted to welcome one of our valued Girls’ Team sponsors, Rainford Interiors, who joined us for the occasion and continue to provide fantastic support to the section.

Our girls’ section was established in 2014, with its first match played the following year in 2015. Since those early days, the section has grown significantly. We now proudly field four girls’ teams alongside our senior women’s team, with younger players always welcome to begin their rugby journey in our thriving Minis section.

The visit of the World Cup was not only a celebration of the achievements of women’s rugby at the highest level, but also a reminder of how far our own section has come — and the exciting future ahead.
