Selby u13's Ran out onto the lush green of the hallowed Selby first team pitch for their first game of the season.
Their challenge for the day to defeat a Huddersfield side that boasted a number of Quegs first team players and some sizeable forwards.
The game was played in three 15 mins sessions and was most notable for the good attacking play from both teams with the scoreboard kept ticking over regularly.
Eventually Selby ran out winners by 22 points to 15 with tries Scored by Stoker, making a welcome return on the Wing, Harrison and Raddings.
The scrum was solid which gave Selby a good platform, line outs needed some work as whilst disruptive Selby never got clean ball.
Although initially Selby were out rucked they came back to give a good account of themselves and won good ball. The backs looked very lively going forward with lots of options and moving the ball well.
Work for next week to include rucking over and through the ball, tackling technique, keep it low lads and the backs need to be more proactive in defence.
All in all a good effort with lots to improve on but also lots to take heart from.
Good starts from new team members Marcus and Andy also great to see Liam down supporting the lads
