Selby RUFC 4th Team 23
Heath RUFC 3rd Team 8

Selby secured a good win in this evenly matched contest which the score line doesn’t suggest. Selby went behind in the first minute to a nicely worked try from the opposition centre. But that just spurred on the swans who hit back through two sublime penalties from Kyle. Then with the Selby forwards pushing the ball up and the backs making some fine runs out wide Liddle popped up to score in the corner. Which ended the half 11 – 5 to Selby. Selby scored straight from the break with a typical powerful charge from Wilcockson which was converted by Kyle. After this Selby where camped in there oppositions half led by inspirational hooker Abrams. But it took a further twenty minutes for their defence to finally crack with Pemberton going over for a try out wide. All the players did well especially Booth and Glassback, who was returning from a nasty injury that nearly resulted in his leg being amputated.
