Brods young development squad were too lively for an enthusiastic Selby squad, who were caught cold and were 19 points adrift after just 20minutes.
Although Selbys forwards took ther ball on well and there were excellent defensive efforts all over the pitch, the home sides pace proved just too much.
There was a consolation score for Mark Huston converted by Greg Moore, and a welcome and impressive return from injury for Simon Tomlinson.
