Selby’s mixture of youth and experience blended well against a solid & aggressive Sandal outfit who won with the benefit of two controversial scores, one in each half.
Although Selby dominated territorially, and were strong in the scrum and lineout, their experienced hosts were solid in defence.

Young hooker, “ Blaze “ Blaymire was voted man of the match for his all round contribution, with another youngster prop Mark Tanner not far behind, Andy Banks was the pick of the backs on his second outing since his return, and also making a welcome return was second row Rob Triffit, following a 14 month absence with a broken leg.
