Selby Pens v West Park Leeds

The Selby Pens under 15s launched the 2017 season with an away match at West Park Leeds.

Selby girls played a dominant game from the start quickly scoring a number of tries and only allowing one try in return. The game was played across three twenty minute periods on a full sized pitch. The Pens scored four tries in the first period, six in the second and four in the final period.

The girls coped admirably with extra demands of the full size pitch, lineouts and contested scrums.

Good sportsmanship was shown when some of the Pens girls went to boost numbers for West Park Leeds following a number of injuries.

The final score was Selby 70, West Park Leeds 5.
