We appreciate that our members and visitors will want to see the Club re-open as soon as possible and we have been developing comprehensive plans to do just that. The safety of our staff, members and visitors is paramount, so it essential that we follow a phased return to allow sufficient time to be familiar with the new approach.
The attached table outlines the phasing and we are currently in the first phase ‘Minimum’ and it is hoped that we will achieve ‘Minimum Plus’ by the 7th July – which means YES we will be open next Tuesday and Thursday between 6.00pm and 9.00 pm and Saturday 11th July between 12 noon and 4.00 pm. There will be a limited offering of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks to start with and once we get busier we will bring more lines into the Clubhouse. We do reserve the right to close earlier if low numbers dictate.
‘Minimum Plus’ will only be outside service and whilst we know that many pubs will be offering inside service from the 4th July, we need to bed in the new procedures, train staff, test new cleaning regimes and gain some idea of summer demand from members. Clearly a lot will depend on the weather.
It is hoped that we will soon move into next ‘Basic’ phase, opening the Clubhouse, as we start the slow return to some normality.
Over the coming days we will be issuing further guidance on the Social Distancing plans, Clubhouse table booking and drinks ordering/table service, along with other general news.
In the meantime we have produced a very short survey, which we would like all members to complete, as this will influence the timing of the next phase.
Thank you for your patience, and fingers crossed for a good spell of weather.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Sandhill Lane at long last.
